We deliver music based projects in many different environments including education settings. We believe that this method of creative learning is a great way to encourage young people to express themselves and engaging with them to explore different subjects, learn new skills and achieve positive outcomes.
We work with high quality professional musicians to develop and execute creative projects in various sectors ranging from healthcare to education. We have built a range of courses designed to be executed within both primary and secondary schools.

All courses will target identified areas for improvement in both primary and secondary. This will be achieved in consultation with the school enhancing social and collaborative skills and working towards a more cohesive group of young people. We also see these courses narrowing the gap in attainment by offering children an alternative route to learning certain subjects of the curriculum.
Firebird Trust have also structured the courses to provide a new element for teachers giving them a fresh way of tackling certain issues or subjects that they would be able to use going forward.
Please view the attached document that details more information on how these projects will work for your school and how they will sit alongside the National Curriculum.
We offer these workshops on a flexible basis as we understand every school has a different development plan and priorities.
Each of the three courses offer:
Prices start from £300 per day to include all resources and materials. Workshops can be delivered to multiple class groups in consultation with the school and delivering artist.
View our latest video testimonials from students at Nottingham Girls Academy. They took part in our Languages Through Music workshop and through music gained a deeper understanding of the Spanish language.
The girls’ Spanish tutor also gave us a great testimonial:
“This was a great workshop combining music, language and culture. Rikki (Firebird practitioner) has a very approachable fun manner which put the students at ease and gave them confidence to contribute to the session. All suggestions were valued. They thoroughly enjoyed creating their own song which they are still singing! It is a fantastic way to get students to use the language they have learnt and to be creative. i would thoroughly recommend it as a motivational and engaging workshop, thank you for the opportunity again.” (Noreen Webb, Teacher of Spanish, Nottingham Girls Academy.)
