Mask-making is just one of the exciting new activities that residents of Binbrook and Brookenby (two small Lincolnshire villages near Market Rasen in East Lindsey) have tried over the dark winter months... Between November 2007 and February 2008, local musician and community artist, Liam Robinson, has been striving to work with as many groups as possible in the Lincolnshire villages of Binbook and Brookenby. To get the project up and running, he's had lunch with the Brookenby Luncheon Club, played pool at Brookenby Youth Club, met members of the Binbrook Residents' Association, dropped into Binbrook Primary School and attended parish council meetings in both villages. The result... a growing and varied programme of activities, including puppet and mask making, song writing and folk dances, as well as a spectacular gamelan residency in November 2007 led by fellow musician, Nikki Kemp. Liam's work has been made possible through Firebird's current funding agreement with Lincolnshire County Council.
