Musicians Gary Hammond, Dave "Stickman" Higgins and Rikki Thomas-Martinez spent a day in June visitng the primary schools in the southern Derbyshire Dales villages of Brailsford, Longford and Sudbury to offer a series of taster sessions making music.

Musician and song writer, Sally Goldsmith, has recently completed a pilot songmaking project for Firebird focussed around six villages in the southern end of the Derbyshire Dales - Doveridge, Sudbury, Marston Montgomery, Longford, Brailsford (see picture below) and Hulland Ward.
